I Almost Died on New Year's Eve.

Don't make the same mistake I did.

2 days ago during New year's Eve, I was at my half-brother’s house for a family gathering as we do every year.

I eventually decided to take out my cruiseboard for a ride around my brother's neighborhood since I’m the type of guy who likes action more than talking. I went outside in the cold 35 degree weather & pitch-black neighborhood that stood before me. (Don’t worry, I love the cold weather)

His neighborhood roads can get pretty hilly & sometimes windy so I was cruising along a hilly road just outside of his house.

I was cruising for about 7-10 minutes until I went down a path long enough to the point where I got lost.

I was making a ton of turns & eventually, when I decided to come back towards the house everybody was gathered at for New Year's, I couldn't find my way past half the way I came from.

I had a landmark that I set in my head which was only half of the way back to the house. I couldn't figure out the other half of the way I came from.

So what did I do?

I did what anybody would do in this situation & turn to every street seeing if something looks familiar.

I spent over half an hour trying to find my way back.

There was just so many ways to go that I couldn’t possibly keep up.

I called my brother 20x & he didn't pick up because of the gathering. (My family gets LOUD, those who know me in real life can see why I'm quiet the way I am)

Anyways, this happened for half an hour & then within that half hour I decided to go down a steep hill I came across just to have some fun.

It took a while for me to get to the top & I was breathing decently hard considering how steep this hill was.

Once I reached the top of the hill, I took a moment to take my phone out & record the moment going down.

After I was halfway down this hill, I knew I f**ked up.

I was going down approximately 20-25mph down a hill that ended with a curb.

I had to turn left or right when I got to the bottom or else I’d crash into that curb.

I was reaching the bottom of the hill at a rapid fast rate.

I tried to get as low to the ground as possible to stabilize the board but the board just kept rapidly rocking left & right.

Then next minute I know, the board just gives out, loses control & I plummet to the ground.

I scraped the back of my hand, my elbows & my upper thigh.

It hurt but I got up right away & as I got up my cruiseboard came to my right leg at the perfect moment.

Now this isn’t the first time I fell down a hill in this neighborhood.

About 2 years ago I had an even worse injury with my longboard when I was just learning how to ride.

I had a massive road rash on my elbow along with 2 big bloody elbow scrapes & hand scrapes that just kept on bleeding & bleeding all the way until I got back to my brother’s house.

Anyways after a little more cruising, I had to get back to the house one way or another.

I decided to be smart & use apple maps to see how I could get towards the school which was just outside my brother's street.

Thankfully after a bit, I eventually got back to the house in one piece with a couple of new scrapes & scars.

Now what's the lesson to takeaway?

There’s actually three lessons here.

Don’t be afraid to take risks

Be smart with your actions

Know your surroundings

As a digital creator, you can’t be afraid to take risks whether it’s selling in the DMs or reaching out to a bigger account.

You’ll never know what you can get out of it.

I recently had a product sale happen in the DMs just because of the rapport we had built up with each other.

If you’re not smart with your actions, you could risk losing your credibility.

If you don’t know your surroundings (Your competition), you won’t be able to differentiate yourself.

I’m taking on 3 digital creators for the new year this month.

I’ll help you increase your:

  • Performance

  • Productivity

  • Creativity

You’ll also get access to my digital product templates & PDF’s as a bonus for booking a call.

Don’t miss out on this free opportunity!
