Bored? Here's the Cure.
3 Ways to Spend your Free Time
It’s that time of day again.
You find yourself in a state of boredom. Not sure what to do next. What lies ahead.
You’re simply just lost in your thoughts.
Well, I’m here to tell you, there’s a way to cure this state of boredom.
As a matter of fact, there are several ways to cure boredom. Some may be physical. Some may be intellectual.
The only thing that matters is that this time is well spent efficiently on things that will help your future-persona.
How I Spend my Free Time
I’m a person who likes to improve myself.
No matter the area. I get mad at myself if I perform poorly at something I know I have big potential in.
Which is why most of my free time I spend either learning something new, doing something physical or performing a task to maintain both of those attributes.
For example; I like to play chess a lot when I’m relaxing with others. This way I don’t spend my time in a waste as I’m constantly training my brain.
Instead of scrolling on social media, I read up on a few newsletters/articles. Sometimes I read my own letters just so I can revise my work & see where it might need improvement.
Instead of walking to the same places over & over again, I ride my cruiseboard to practice on it more.
Instead of sleeping in, I wake up early & get the day started with a workout. Whether it’s a 2-3 mile run or a gym workout, I’m getting myself energized for the rest of day that comes.

3 Productive Ways to Spend your Spare Time
So what are the 3 best ways to spend your spare time?
Well I’m glad you asked. I’ll be covering 3 different ways you can spend your time productively without waste.
1. Read a Book
It’s a generic tip, although it’s commonly advised for good reason.
There’s a special force of energy being transmitted between you & the given book. You’re essentially becoming one with the book as you’re (hopefully) sitting down & actively maneuvering your eyes from word to word.
I find it much more beneficial to physically sit down & read as opposed to listening to an audiobook simply because of the fact that you can actively write down notes & retain more information easily.
After all, the more you write the more you understand.
2. Pick Up a New Hobby
Is there a certain hobby you’ve been looking to pick up?
Is it skating? Skiing? Snowboarding?
The choice is ultimately yours, although it’s crucial that you get specific on what it is you want to learn.
I believe it’s much more beneficial to have skills in a wide range of sports & physical activities as opposed to mastering one. Life is much more enjoyable & fulfilling this way. You can connect with more people than if you were just to pick up one single hobby.
Unless of course, you want to go pro.
3. Workout
Last but not least, you need to dedicate time to working out.
Life is nothing without physical pain & endurance. Working out helps you maximize your tolerance for these things. You need to be able to sustain physical & mental pain if you want to achieve any form of success in given areas.
Professional athletes didn’t get to where they were without a painful experience in their lives.
Everybody goes through painful phases.
What matters is that you work through these phases & come out a different person than before.
Summary
For those who skip to the end, here’s a revision of what we covered.
1. Pick up a Book
2. Pick up a Hobby
3. Workout
