Your Diet is KILLING your energy.
My stupidly simple peak-performance diet.
You lack energy because of the foods you eat.
Without optimal energy levels, you’ll risk producing low quality, distracted work that reflects onto your brand as a creator. One of the best ways to combat this problem comes down to the foods you eat everyday.
As an athlete, I’m very wary of what I put into my body everyday as it can heavily dictate my ability to perform at high rates.
Even as a creator, the foods you eat dictate the quality of focused work you can produce.
If you eat a load of unhealthy, processed fried food everyday, it’s no wonder you feel like crap mentally & physically.
Certain foods can plague your mind & cause an influx of mental fog.
I personally like to eat similar foods everyday to keep things nice & simple.
By keeping things simple, I also have more room to spark creativity because I’m not constantly thinking about what to cook/eat.
The foods I eat are usually high in protein & lower on the fats & carb side. (Sugar mostly comes from my green apples)
For breakfast I’d usually eat an omelette with spinach, peppers, onions & tomatoes inside, alongside a whole wheat bagel w/peanut butter & either strawberries, cantaloupe or a green apple.
Sometimes I may cook a homemade oatmeal dish with protein power, cinnamon, peanut butter & berries on top.
As for lunch, I usually eat rice mixed w/Peppers, Onions & Tomatoes, alongside chicken & a green apple.
Depending on the day I may add pasta to the mix as well.
As for dinner, I usually eat the same rice mix, alongside chicken or I may instead eat salmon.
Salmon’s proven to be amazing for brain health which is crucial to cultivate as an athletic creator.
Then lastly, as a nightly snack an hour before bed I may eat a peanut butter sandwich depending on the day, to help neutralize my energy levels & get ready for bed.
Take the time this week, to reflect on the foods you eat every day & ask yourself if these foods are plagued with sugar or saturated fats.
If they are, cut them out & replace them with healthier options.
Strive to eat whole, protein-dense & fiber-dense foods.
You'll notice your body reaping the benefits over time.
Your outputs are only as strong as your inputs.
