Distracted Work NO MORE.
How I prioritize tasks to combat "busy", distracted work.
As a digital creator, having prioritized tasks is crucial to avoid potential stress & distracted work.
There’s a difference between “busy” work & “productive work". If you’re doing busy work, most of the time it’s not urgent. If you’re doing productive work, usually it’ll be urgent.
Having a dedicated task management system will help you realize what’s urgent & what isn’t.
If you’re constantly working on “busy work”, you’ll run the risk of wasting your hours on inurgent, distracted work that just takes away from your life.
The key is to set 3-5 lever-moving tasks first thing in the morning as this is when your mind is at it’s sharpest.
Now how do you set & prioritize these lever-moving tasks?
I personally like to use Notion, Apple Notes & Google Calendar to help me prioritize my tasks.
For example, my Notion ecosystem is used to primarily manage tasks & capture information related to online business & personal brand growth.
My Apple Notes is primarily used to prioritize personal tasks or even sometimes just business tasks that need to be seen upfront that can get lost within my notion ecosystem.
Now, as for Google Calendar, I usually use this to upkeep my weekly habits such as writing emails, scheduling content, etc.
It helps me staple that task into my head, because I created it in a way that alerts me of the upcoming task 24 hours beforehand.
This way I can begin to get my mind prepared for what’s to come next.
Get the priorities out of the way first, that way you won't have to worry about getting them done later on.
