How I Generate Effortless Ideas.
Effortless ideation.
It’s something we all strive for as creators. Which is why I’ll be covering 3 different tactics I personally use to unconsciously brainstorm better ideas.
These 3 tactics save me the headaches of having to force myself to generate ideas for my content.
Ultimately saving me hours depending on the context.
Now as for unconscious idea generation, there’s a pretty big reason people can’t do so.
Lack of Mental Clarity
There’s ultimately a lack of mental clarity within the individual who cannot unconsciously brainstorm ideas.
They don’t write ideas down.
They sit & overthink.
They don’t seek out nature.
They don’t consume good content.
These are a couple of factors that personally helped me generate a surplus of ideas without thinking too hard.
Capture your Thoughts
I get it.
It’s 2023. Why should I journal & capture my thoughts? Why can I not just copy other’s ideas?
While you can do so, it’s not optimal in the long-run as you won’t have anything personal & original to speak on.
People online want to see more than just copy cat advice.
They want to feel a connection with the writer.
Tying in my personal experiences & thoughts with inspiration-based content made a pretty heavy mix. I personally try to incorporate my own personal experiences & thoughts within my own content every so often.
Journaling & capturing your thoughts also gave me a better sense of mental clarity.
It prevents me from overthinking. A symptom the majority of the population doesn’t know how to deal with.
Simply pulling out a notepad or a digital notetaking application & braindumping everything that comes to mind, eventually leads to a thought worth making content around.

Seeking Nature
Why should we seek nature?
How does it help us? How does it generate better ideas?
Well, it ultimately starts with the fact that you are getting away from the whole world.
Anytime I personally go fishing or hiking in somewhat dense to dense nature, I gain awe. I start to notice things I haven’t noticed before.
This ultimately led to noticing & reflecting on things within my own content, which therefore improves the quality.
Consuming Quality Content
All these tactics are adding up.
With a combination of these tactics, I can’t see why you wouldn’t be able to generate more ideas just as I have.
Consuming quality content is just as important as the others. How do you think your favorite creators come up with the content they do?
It surely doesn’t just come out of thin air.
Great ideas come from books, long-form content, short-form content & mistakes others have made.
Pick up a book. Write down things that you learned. Things you find interesting.
Gain a new outlook on the content you consume.
Summary
These 3 tactics are what ultimately led to me having the innate ability to brainstorm better ideas with less effort.
Try it out & let me know what you think!
