Hazy Mind?
3 ways I overcame mental fog.
Do you struggle with mental haze & mental fog?
If so, there are a few reasons why you might be experiencing such problems. These are hobbies I took upon myself years ago in order to give myself alone time, regain clarity & gain ideation.
I believe these 3 simple hobbies are crucial to have if you want to achieve any form of success & clarity.
Given the fact that we are living in the digital age, you simply can not afford to have a mind overwhelmed with information, especially if you’re a strategic thinker.
The 3 Clarity Hobbies
So, you might be wondering “What are these 3 simple hobbies you speak about?”
To answer your question, I’ll put it simple;
Nature
Writing
Alone Time
I’ve personally found benefits with these 3 hobbies as they all have the ability to give me a sense of self-pace & quietness.
I’m not the type of person who likes to engulf myself in loud crowds or parties, so these hobbies serve me well. If you think similarly, you might find yourself agreeing with this.
After all, how many writers like to party?
Nature Immersement
I am an avid nature enthusiast.
It’s something I love to engulf myself in everyday whenever I can get the chance. And there’s a great reason for this.
Nature is simply beautiful when you’re in the right spots.
It’s Immerseful
It’s Captivating.
It’s Refreshing.
It gives you the chance to re-construct your thought process.
It’s almost as if time just stops. Just like if you were in your own world. With nobody around, but you.
Which is why I love it so much.
Whether I go hiking, biking, or fishing (Soon hunting), I start to get excited simply because of the benefits gained from it.
You finally get a chance to get away from cars, people & more.
So if you can take anything away from this, start immersing yourself in nature.
You’ll thank yourself for it.
Jotting Down Thoughts & Idea Expansions
Jotting down your thoughts & expanding on ideas.
Simple isn’t it? All you’re doing is writing down your thoughts, ideas & then later on expanding on those ideas & applying them depending on what your goals are.
For me, my purpose of idea expansion & application is to write content like this.
Once I jot down my thoughts & ideas, I can later expand on them in-depth & possibly learn something I didn’t know about myself.
It gives me a sense of clarity & mental order.
I can allow myself capacity to learn new things or store information in my head. Having a second brain really does me wonders. That way I never have to worry about forgetting my ideas.
So, how can you incorporate this into your own life?
Do you have a place to store your thoughts? Ideas? Can you expand on them?
Buy a notebook. Use a digital planner. Or even your notes app.
Just make sure you categorize it.
Give yourself 7 days & watch as your trajectory shifts.
Alone Time
For some odd reason, a small group of people find it weird to be alone.
They think people who are alone are sad sons of guns. When in reality, it’s the complete opposite.
At the time of writing this newsletter, I went to the gym around 6am. I came back to my college cafe around 7am & saw another person there.
Knowing myself & how I like to have alone time & peace in the morning, I sat down at a random table alone to enjoy my protein bar, come up with a couple ideas & read newsletters.
After a couple minutes, I had somebody walk up to me. Nice guy, liked to develop himself. Although, it was just the wrong time.
Half an hour passes & I couldn’t really focus on what I was reading.
Fortunately I had my own alone space which gave me time to read & generate ideas, although it just wasn’t the best time to conversate given the fact that I like to be productive in the morning time & get my stuff done early.
So, the takeaway here; give yourself alone time.
Don’t be afraid of looking isolated if you want to achieve mental clarity.
