5 Baseline Hygienic Routines You Have to Start Cultivating.
Hygiene.
Something so basic. Although something most people don’t know how to properly take care of.
Your appearance matters.
The way you portray yourself comes down to the hygienic routines you have set in place for yourself.
If you’re going to speak to:
A Special Somebody
A Scary Employer
An Uber Driver
You need to nail your first impression.
Not only does the impression matter, but so does your personal comfort.
You should be comfortable with your own body.
You should never be uncomfortable.
Hence the reason I’m writing this letter.
I’ve seen friends & family make these hygienic mistakes time & time again without realizing the downsides.
The reason why they don’t realize is because they are unaware.
The Unaware Self
Most of the time, people are unaware of these hygienic mistakes for the following reasons;
Nobody taught them
They didn’t do their own research
They are too lazy to act on these routines
They believe the routine is too “feminine.”
As unfortunate as it is, I get it. Nobody might have taught you these routines. Nobody might have explained the benefits of these routines.
Although starting today, it’s time I set forth & give you 5 life-changing hygienic routines you can start doing today.
1. Baby Wipes
I’m sure you can imagine why this is at the top of the list.
Your baheema needs to be kept clean. Using dry toilet paper isn’t enough. While people say it’s enough, it’s not.
Imagine it’s a nice sunny day.
You say to yourself, “You know…I need to give my car a wash.”
“Although I don’t want to spend money at a car wash.”
So what do you do?
You take matters into your own hands & get you cleaning gear.
But here’s the kick.
Imagine you start cleaning your car, with no water.
All you’re using is a towel & soap.
What good is that really going to do?
How are you going to thoroughly scrape everything out?
You need water & hydration to properly remove the excess.
The same goes for your baheema.
You need hydration to remove the excess as well as those spots.
Don’t be that guy with a smelly baheema.
You’ll hate yourself for it.
2. An Electric Toothbrush
How many volts per minute does your manual toothbrush brush at?
300? 600? What if I told you an electric toothbrush brushes your teeth at a rate of up to 50,000 volts per minute?
Can you imagine which brush ends up cleaning your teeth more?
Using a manual toothbrush doesn’t give you the ultimate slight edge when it comes to thoroughly cleansing your teeth as these manual brushes perform miles slower as opposed to it’s competitor.
Efforts matter, but not as much as efficiency.
3. Tongue Scrapers
Tongue scrapers provide the ultimate combination of thorough oral cleansing when paired with an electric toothbrush.
When brushing, you’re only brushing the surface of your tongue. You’re not given the whole cleansing process downpact as you’re not getting into the crevasses & the bacteria hiding at the end of your mouth.
A tongue scraper allows you to do what a toothbrush cannot.
It gives you the ability to scrape out excess bacteria & leftovers.
You’re able to easily slide it from the end of your tongue towards the tip.
By doing so, you’re not only cleansing but you’re giving yourself a fresher breath.
4. Closing the Toilet Seat
Nobody wants to see your leftovers.
Nobody wants to get sick as well. I personally always close the toilet seat when either taking a #2 or even a #1.
The reason for this is to reduce the spread of bacteria.
Your toilet water is not clean.
You can convince yourself as much as you’d like that it’s clean no matter how many times you used a soap & rag.
Although this water is coming from sewer drainages & freshwater systems.
Once you flush, close the seat instantly.
It might seem taboo although what’s more important?
Saving your energy from a simple quick task or reducing the spread of atmospheric bacteria?
5. Towel Separation
So far so good.
We’ve covered a lot, although this is by far one of the most important ones of all.
I’m assuming you’re a person who likes to simplify things by having a towel for all of your needs. However, here’s the problem with that.
You’re drying your body with the same towel you use to dry your feet, private parts & other weird things.
If your feet are covered in mud & you use a body towel to dry it off, you’re essentially spreading even more bacteria across your entire body.
If you’re drying your face with the same towel you use to dry your private parts with…well, you can essentially get the gist here.
Separate your towels.
Revision
I've seen family, friends & acquaintances make hygienic mistakes over & over again.
Therefore I decided to cover a few different routines I believe everybody should incorporate into their life.
If you like to skip to the end, here’s what we covered;
1. Baby Wipes
2. An Electric Toothbrush
3. Tongue Scrapers
4. Closing the Toilet Seat
5. Separate your Towels
