Try Not to Kill Yourself.
Personal strategies to overcome stress & achieve clarity.
Stress is inevitable.
You can’t avoid it in your lifetime. It comes to you no matter what. Whether you’re an entrepreneur or a 15 year old teenager, it’ll take over at some point.
This is why I want to share my personal strategies strived to overcome stress.
This strategy won’t just help me, yet it will help you combat stress as well with clear cut simple strategies anybody can easily do.
Instead of complaining (Or bragging) about how stressed out you are to your family, friends, colleagues, etc.
You can ditch those bragging rights & instead cultivate clarity.
Why You Can’t Overcome Stress
Overcoming stress isn’t rocket science.
It’s much simpler than you may believe.
It may seem like rocket science because there are a couple of primary habits you don’t possess to overcome it:
Walking
Journaling
Working Out
Nature Walking
Cleaning Up Your Environment
With these simple habits, it isn’t too difficult to remove your baggage of stress.
These are the same habits I personally use to cope with stress.
As long as you can cultivate them, you should be able to achieve clarity.
Walking
Walking is essentially active meditation.
A crucial component to overcoming stress simply because it allows you to observe everything around you as well as generate ideas.
For example, whenever I personally go on a walk, I try not to carry too many things with me.
This way I can actually focus on walking & not on my possessions/devices.
After that’s checked off the list, I then start to observe everything around me.
I observe my surroundings if there is anything new or interesting I haven’t seen from the day before. [p.s; doing this helps cultivate creativity]
If I spot something new, I take out my phone & jot that spotting down within my digital journal in case I decide to use it for a future post.
This essentially helps me cultivate clarity & get my mind off of what I am stressing about, simply because I am directing my focus towards the outside world & taking things in as I go.
During these walks, I can also reflect on my stresses & then possibly come up with strategies to overcome them.
So give walking a shot.
Put your phone on airplane mode. (Or Focus Mode)
Start walking.
Take things in.
Journal new sightings.
Reflect.
Working Out
Without this, we’d all be a bunch of stressed-out chickens running around all over the place.
I’ve been into sports & fitness since the 4th grade, so trust me when I say this;
Working out is the cure to your stress.
When you’re working out, you’re essentially tearing your muscles apart.
It sounds tragic I know, yet it isn’t.
This is crucial to reach new athletic heights.
You need to tear your muscles down to open up the opportunity to growing them.
Rest takes care of the rest. [Cheeky yeah?]
For this reason, working out is the ultimate curation to overcoming stress.
If you’re physically torturing your body, there’s no doubt that your mind will benefit from a high once finished.
Anytime I have an intense workout, my mind feels blank.
Try it for yourself & let me know if you also feel the same way.
If you do (which you should), your stress is almost cured.
Clean Environment
Believe it or not, your environment has a major play as to whether or not your stress can be overcome.
If your living environment is messy & loud, don’t even try to expect your stress to whiter away.
There are simply too many things going on at once.
Everything is chaotic.
Hence why you need to make sure you keep yourself in an environment that is clean & quiet.
Put on a pair of headphones.
Put your clothes away.
Clean your desk.
Make your bed.
The benefits reaped from doing this can be exponential as a clean, simple environment makes you want to get things done.
Revision
Your stress isn’t as hard to overcome as you may believe.
Whenever I personally come across stress, I use these simple strategies to overcome them.
It really isn’t rocket science.
Try these out for yourself.
You might just kill stress for good.
Bullet Summary
For those who skip to the end, here’s what we covered;
