Will you run or walk?

The truth about going through tough times.

The other night I was eating a small snack before bed.

It was around 8pm, so I decided to eat a peanut butter sandwich with a cucumber spinach wrap to help me sleep faster when bedtime came.

Halfway through eating, I called my father to catch up.

We talked about life, business & the internship I had taken up. It lasted for a bit & once I had finished I finished off my snack.

Now, as I was putting away my tray & went to the door to leave the cafe.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

It was downpouring like crazy! It was almost as if there was a category 1 hurricane forming outside.

After seeing the monstrosity outside.

I went to the other side of the cafe exit which was closer to my dormitory.

So, I stepped out the door. Took a moment to prepare myself for the downpour I was about to walk into.

And instead of running, I just walked.

Everybody else around me was panicking. They were full-on sprinting through the rain.

But instead of following the crowd, I walked through it slow & controlled.

Why?

You're going to get drenched either way. Whether you sprint, jog or walk. You'll still get drenched.

So why not take the full hit & immerse yourself?

That's what I did & I eventually made it back to my dorm.

Safe & soaked.

Anyways, why am I telling you this? Let’s take a look at what I mentioned above.

Everybody around me was panicking through the rain. Whilst, I stayed calm & walked.

What does that tell you about business/economics?

You can’t afford to panic along with everyone else in tough moments. You’ll waste more energy panicking than figuring out a solution.

You need to develop mental fortitude to withstand those tough moments.

Anyways, that's all for me.

Until next time,
