Your Energy Optimization Cheat Sheet.
This is what you really need to reach peak performance.
You make the same mistake 93%+ of people do.
You believe you need pre-workout in order to have enough energy & willpower at the gym. You believe you need creatine in order to get bigger. You believe you need coffee in order to perform your best work.
While these supplements do help with those aspirations, they’re not necessary.
I used to take creatine religiously.
It enhanced my performance & recovery.
It wasn’t crucial, although it was helpful to use, especially during basketball & track season.
Although, around two years ago, my kidneys were infested with creatine.
It forced me to ditch creatine & rely on my nutrition.
It sucked at first, although with time I realized…
I never needed this in the first place.
My Realization
After finding out this was only complimentary.
I realized it wasn’t necessary to use it all the time.
The same goes for pre-workout, coffee, energy drinks, etc.
I have never taken pre-workout in my life & have always performed better than most when it came to sports & work.
I have never taken coffee or energy drinks to enhance my mood & energy.
I simply never needed them.
Hence why, I believe you should aim to replace these energy optimizers with natural methods.
With natural energy optimization methods, you don’t run the risk of a possible cardiac arrest as seen with energy drinks.
You’re optimizing your energy levels without running the risk of an unwanted incident.
Therefore, the first method I believe you should put into place are…
Cold Showers
I’ve been taking cold showers since the 7th grade.
I take hot showers when necessary.
Examples being whether I’m going to bed or have very tight muscles.
However, when I need energy, I take a cold shower.
In the morning time, I have formulated the data-based opinion that you must start the day with torture in order to be able to tackle anything that comes your way.
Cold showers not only optimizes my energy levels, yet they also provide the following:
Healthier Skin
Healthier Hair
Better Breathing
More Self-Control
You can start to see why I believe everybody should cultivate the habit of taking cold showers.
The benefits rise far above the negatives. (If there are any)
If you can’t handle cold showers, I want you to try the following steps:
1. Take your usual warm shower.
2. Towards the end, make the water cold.
3. Sit in it for at least 5-7 seconds.
4. Repeat everyday.
By repeating these simple steps every day, you should be able to accustom your body tolerance to withstand longer periods of cold water temperatures.
Healthy Diet
If you want to take supplements, you should master the foundations first.
If you don’t already have a healthy diet, why would you expect your body to enhance your performance solely with a supplement?
It wouldn’t make sense.
Supplements should ideally be used as an add-on/complimentary.
Creatine for example is found in meats such as steak.
Powdered creatine is just icing on the cake.
Cultivate a healthy diet before supplements, or else you’ll feel like crap.
List out your favorite foods.
Decipher whether or not they are beneficial to you.
Take supplements after cultivating a healthy diet, if necessary.
Physical Performance
If you think you need coffee to do meaningful work, you’re wrong.
Sure, coffee gives you energy.
Although it’s been scientifically proven it isn’t healthy over the long term.
I’ve only had coffee once in my life.
I was 7 or 8 years old when my dad gave me a sip.
Needless to say, I realized I would never want it to be a part of me.
So over the years, whenever I needed energy I instead performed physically inclined energy-cultivating activities such as;
Bike Riding
Exercising
Running
Skating
Walking
Sports
Revision
At the end of the day, you are in control of your own body.
You can do whatever you feel with it.
Although the most successful people out there are successful in all areas, prioritizing their health.
You can’t be a peak performer if you’re unhealthy.
